Kairu Sushi and Noodle Bar has opened at Northcross Shopping Center, 9709 Sam Furr Rd. in Huntersville. Named after the Japanese word for "ocean current," the restaurant embodies the deep friendship and culinary passion of two lifelong friends: Will Phong and Steve Ly. Phong's expertise lies in the art of sushi, while Ly honed his skills at a beloved Charlotte noodle restaurant. Kairu features sushi and sashimi, as well as ramen and udon dishes.
