Yama’s LoSo Location Now Open
Local restaurateur Birdie Yang has opened his latest restaurant, Yama Loso, in lower South End. It is located at 3533 Dewitt Lane (south of Clanton Rd. and between S. Tryon and South Blvd.) and is situated between Phat Burrito and SupperClub SouthEnd. Yang opened his first Yama location in SouthPark in 2007, and he also operates BAKU — also in SouthPark. A third Yama is located at Providence Rd. and Ardrey Kell Rd. in sotheast Charlotte. Yama Loso serves traditional sushi and sashimi, as well as small hot dishes, and kushiyaki, a Japanese technique that includes various skewered and grilled meat, seafood, or even vegetables and tofu.
