Silver Spoon Tavern Fine Indian Dining Opens in Columbia
COLUMBIA, SC—Silver Spoon Tavern Fine Dining Indian has opened at 4478 Rosewood Drive, taking the building previously occupied by Alley Street Eats, an Asian street food restaurant that closed in March 2025.
The new restaurant is owned and operated by chef Jebakumar Jebaraj, who grew up in India and worked in the kitchens of five-star hotels before coming to South Carolina. When announcing the new restaurant in January, Jebaraj told the The Post and Courier Free Times, “In Columbia, South Carolina, there is no good Indian food,” Jebaraj said. “I can give a guarantee, because I'm in this city for almost seven, eight years, so I don't see any good Indian food.”
Silver Spoon Tavern is open seven days a week, from 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Jebaraj also owns and operates Jonah Indian Kitchen & Bar in Florence, SC.
