May 17 | Screening of “Poupelle of Chimney Town”
RALEIGH, NC—On Sunday, May 17, the Japan America Society of North Carolina presents a curated screening of the Japan Academy Film Prize-nominated 2020 animated feature Poupelle of Chimney Town. Directed by Yusuke Hirota, the film is based on the 2016 children's picture book of the same name by Akihiro Nishino, who also wrote the screenplay and served as an executive producer.
