CHARLOTTE, NC—The 2026 Festival of India, presented by the India Association of Charlotte, will be held Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20 in uptown Charlotte.

Performances at this festival present a snapshot of the broad variety of dance forms old and new in India. The shows will include classical dance styles of Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, and Odissi, folk dances from several states, accompanied by instrumentalists who play the flute, and percussions such as the dhol, tabla, and dholak.

Curated exhibits bring India’s rich cultural diversity to life through a sensory celebration of fine arts, traditional crafts, and the rhythmic pulse of dance and music blended with the magic of Bollywood. From the aromatic depth of Indian spices to the majesty of its landmarks, these displays are designed to educate and inspire.

Festival of India also provides a platform for artists to showcase their artwork in different mediums. There multiple activities for children, saree and turban tying demonstrations, yoga, and, of course, a food court showcasing the diverse cuisines of India.

The India Association of Charlotte is a nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing Indian culture and celebrating artistic and cultural diversity in an effort to nurture an inclusive community.
