October 25 | FAAC 36th Annual Gala

Event - FACC 36th Gala.jpg

The gala’s central theme, “Karangalan at Katotohanan” (Honor and Truth), embodies Rizal’s call for dignity and justice. Guests will encounter “Sulyap sa Noli” — a glimpse into the Philippines of the 1880s, blending period elegance with modern social commentary.

A Story Reawakened
Written in 1887, Noli Me Tangere (“Touch Me Not”) exposed the injustices of Spanish colonial rule and inspired a national awakening in the Philippines. The novel follows Crisostomo Ibarra, whose return from Europe reveals deep-seated oppression in his homeland — a story of love, truth, and resistance that continues to resonate with Filipinos worldwide. More than a love story, the novel sparked a national awakening and remains a symbol of truth, resistance, and Filipino identity.
