The 3rd Regional Festival Of India at Matthews showcases the diversity of Indian dance, food, art, music and Bollywood entertainment. The family-friendly event, a partnership between the Town of Matthews and the India Association of Charlotte, features dance performances, Indian street food, marketplace with jewelry and souvenirs, sari draping, turban tying, henna tattoos, immersive cultural experiences, a visual art gallery, interactive kids corner, and more.
This event is organized by the India Association of Charlotte, inpartnership with the Town of Matthews, and is supported by grant assistance from the Arts & Science Council. The mission of IAC is to share Indian culture with the people of the Carolinas and to foster better understanding of the cultural diversity of India with the mainstream community at large.
