The Charlotte Asian Film Festival celebrates its fourth edition on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Independent Picture House (IPH). Among the screenings is Emmy® Award-winning director Eugene Yi’s HBO special, The A List: 15 Stories from Asian and Pacific Diasporas. Yi will be at the festival for an in-person Q&A during the screening, 12:30–2:45 pm.

In addition to celebrating the richness and diversity of Asian and Asian American stories, this year's festival will also feature a special community conversation exploring Asian mental health and media representation, bringing together filmmakers, advocates, and community leaders to discuss how storytelling can reduce stigma, foster understanding, and create meaningful change. There will be an after-party outside of IPH at the conclusion of the festival.
