Charlotte Hmong Alliance Church

Charlotte Hmong Alliance Church exterior
Charlotte Hmong Alliance Church began in 1994 with a few faithful families. They rented from an American church at the time. Then, in 1995, the members reached out to an existing church on Thriftwood Drive, hoping to rent the facility. They found out the church was being readied for sale.

The sellers learned they were from the same denomination, and sold it at a discounted price. The  families were able to raise enough money for the downpayment, and the church's mortgage was paid off in 2010.

According to the church’s web site, a weekly ministry called LIFEgroups is the primary channel for making disciples. It includes four steps: connect, grow, serve, and engage.

The LIFEgroup ministry is intended to be a place for people to “feel welcomed, loved, and safe to share life with one another in community. It will be a place to learn how to share the Gospel, testimony and foundational truths in the faith. ”
