Robin Stallings

Heritage: Japanese

Born to a Japanese mother in the South, Robin Stallings considers her art to be a juxtaposition of Southern charm and Asian culture. Through growing up surrounded by Japanese dolls, paintings, books and various knick-knacks that her mother’s relatives would send to her, she developed a deep appreciation for the far-Eastern aesthetic.  Growing up in Gaston County, she also fell in love with the beauty of the Deep South and its rolling rivers, dense forests, and wide array of wildlife.  Where these two aesthetics intersect is a constant source of inspiration for her in her artistic and personal life.
